The hand

When they come in contact with medical facilities as a result of receiving a cancer diagnosis, patients spend a lot of time in the hospital and need to feel like people, not like patients.

”The hand” project arose from the need to create a leisure space within the Oncological Institute from Cluj in order to offer patients a space where they can rest or where they can talk to those who visit them.

The tree of hope

Research in the field of medical anthropology claims that art in hospitals is welcome to increase the quality of life of patients in the hospital. the tree of hope comes as a manifesto for the need for art in oncology hospitals.

They are placed in the yard of the Bucharest Oncology Institute. Technically, the leaves of the tree are made of colored plexiglass, so that in contact with the sun's rays reflects around it an aura of light, a metaphor for the energy and light of patients who need hope in these moments of their lives.

HPV Awareness Day - Activation at the Palace of Parliament

On the International HPV Awareness Day, we met in front of the Colțea Clinical Hospital where we hung 1805 turquoise "martisoare", the specific color of this type of cancer, in memory of women who lost their lives in 2021 due to breast cancer, cervix due to HPV infection.

We chose to give a twist to the “marțișor” symbol to turn it into a statement of the care we must give to women. Our invitation is to find some mental / digital / physical time to raise awareness of this constant problem, but which has a clear solution, the HPV vaccine.
